About

Ben Jacquier

I write music and design sound for brands and films. Score, sound design and mix. One hand, one intention.

★ Best Sound Design — Toronto Webfilm Festival 2026★ Best Soundtrack — Filmapalooza World Final 2022

For Sony, I recorded an entire composition with a single microphone. For Roger Dubuis, I recorded ice beneath a frozen lake and turned it into the sound of a mechanical vortex, mixed on site for a 360° installation. For a chronograph, the ticking of the movement became the rhythm of the track.

Most productions treat music and sound design as two separate jobs. I write them together, so every note, hit and texture serves the same picture.

Based in the French Alps, with Greek roots — the lyre in my logo is Apollo’s. Over the years I have scored and sound-designed commercials, brand films, award-winning shorts, documentaries, a feature film and music releases.

Based in France, working worldwide with agencies, brands, directors and production companies.

What I do

01

Original score

Themes and full scores written to picture — from a 15-second spot to a 90-minute feature.

02

Sound design

Impacts, textures, atmospheres and Foley built for the cut, often from sounds recorded for the project.

03

Mix & delivery

Final mix and stems, delivered in the formats each platform needs.

04

Spatial & live

Multichannel sound for installations and events, mixed and automated on site.

How I work

  1. BriefYou send the edit, your references and where the film will run. I come back with questions and a quote.
  2. DirectionA first sketch of music and sound to lock the intention before going deep.
  3. ProductionScore, sound design and mix, built together on the picture.
  4. DeliveryFinal mix, stems and cut-downs, ready for every platform.
